At this year\u2019s TMF Registry Days in Berlin (May 13\u201314), we had the opportunity to present the challenges, progress, and future plans of the Autopsy Registry and Network \u2013 in front of an impressive audience of nearly 200 participants!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lively discussions made one thing clear: registries and registry data play a crucial role<\/strong> \u2013 whether in regulatory approval processes, real-world data collection, or registry-based studies. They are a key enabler of evidence-based decision-making<\/strong> \u2013 in research, regulation, and ultimately in patient care. Especially valuable were the contributions from patient representatives<\/strong>, who powerfully emphasized the importance of registry data from the perspective of those directly affected. Also in attendance were representatives of the G-BA<\/strong>, BfArM<\/strong>, EMA<\/strong>, the pharmaceutical and medical technology industries<\/strong>, the German Federal Ministry of Health<\/strong>, and many more \u2013 united by a shared goal: to further connect, sustainably strengthen, and future-proof the registry landscape<\/strong>. One thing was evident after this rich exchange: building and promoting high-quality, interoperable registries is not optional \u2013 it is essential<\/strong>.
Key topics included the upcoming European Health Data Space (EHDS)<\/strong> and the coalition agreement of the German government<\/strong>, which includes a planned registry law<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
